Sculpture 1 of 1. Cast Aluminum on wood Siciliano celebrates in the act of creation with workmanship that is evident in every aspect of his sculpture and three-dimensional design inventions. In this sculpture from the early 70’s, depicts an abstracted broken column made from cast aluminum on wood. Siciliano’s personal explorations with form, space and material combine in new orders as lasting embodiments of the sculptors’ art. His command of material and craft gracefully merge with a searching eye to produce myriad levels of abstract visualization. The surprising range and depth of his imagery include diverse aspects of figuration and nonrepresentational themes yielding a body of work that is exhibited and collected in the United States, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Inspired by life, Gerald’s cast bronze sculptures explore classical themes with a singular 21st c sensibility. He tantalizes the eye with both bold and subtle variations of color, form and texture in a delightful display of artist- craftsman virtuosity.
